Why are we sounding like a bhishon-bhaalo bengali metro?
We are back, not with a bang anymore, but with a beng!
What will Bangaloreans be called henceforth?
Bengaluruvasis? Bengalurueans? Bengalis?

I didn't like the change. Did you?

During that period before its independence and accession to the US, it was called Te'jas (the "'j" being pronounced as "h" as in: ತೆಹಾಸ್) Its now called Texas ("x" pronounced as "eks"). But in the highly unlikely event of it being annexed by Mexico again, do you think Texas will become Te'jas again?

Consider Mexico itself: Locally in Mexican Spanish, its referred to as Me'jico (as in: ಮೆಹಿಕೊ) but the internationally known name, one that is accepted by the Mexican government is Mexico ("x" being pronounced as "eks"). Do you think Mexico ought to become Me'jico to the whole world?

C'on guys...Bengaluru is the original name. It's the British who changed it to Bangalore and we should have been upset for that.Not because Bengaluru got back it's original name. Bangalore to Bengaluru tumbha sakattu. ;); 2:36 PM
